STUDIO DIRECTOR
Chris started dancing at an early age then progressed to music and musical theatre. He has handled administration duties for various dance studios and gymnastic clubs, produced and directed Broadway revival musicals for community theatre groups in the city as well as being the production coordinator for dance competitions.

Heather’s passion is tap! She is an accredited Tap and Jazz Teacher through ADAPT (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers) and was previously an Associated Member in Tap and Jazz through CDTA (Canadian Dance Teachers Association). Heather’s passion is tap! She has performed, competed, and choreographed in many styles of dance, and has attended and continues to attend a variety of dance workshops. Heather has over 35 years of dance experience including teaching and choreographing for both recreational and competitive students ages 2 – 72. Heather loves to share her passion for dance with others and to see what her students (at any age, at any level) can achieve.

Maria has been dancing since the age of 4. She started dancing competitively at the age of 6 and continued competing until she graduated at the age of 18. Prior to graduating, Maria was a teacher’s assistant for 5 years where she would experience first hand how to train and work with young dancers. As of 2022 Maria has successfully completed her ADAPT teacher training and is a certified dance instructor and in 2023 she completed her Associates Certification with The Society of Russian Ballet. At the Studio School of Dance Maria teaches both competitive and recreational classes in the styles of Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro, Contemporary and Lyrical. She is excited to pass on all the knowledge she has accumulated over her years to each and everyone of her students.

Emily began dancing in Ottawa at the age of 4 years old and hasn’t stopped since. She is skilled in many forms of dance and loves sharing her passion for learning with her students. Having trained locally at various studios for over 25 years in all styles of dance and competing in Canada and the United States with high achievements; teaching seemed like a natural fit to help nurture the future generation of dance. Emily has been teaching, and choreographing for over 15 years and finds such excitement in seeing her students succeed both on stage and in the studio.
Emily’s specialty is tap, but she is well versed in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet & broadway. You can still find Emily on stage from time to time, but teaching is her true joy. Above all, Emily believes strongly in good technique, having fun, and challenging yourself.
